Terrascope will provide open-source satellite data until at least 2028

On behalf of the Belgian Science Policy Office (BELSPO), State Secretary for Science Policy Thomas Dermine signed an agreement with VITO (Vlaamse Instelling voor Technologisch Onderzoek) to maintain and extend the Terracope platform for at least another 5 more years. 

New CropSAR service available via EOplaza

The new CropSAR service provides cloud-free time series at pixel level. This new service extends image level analysis, natural color insights and application domains beyond agriculture. Discover more about the two CropSAR services available in EOplaza!
 

WorldCover global land cover maps and annual composites available

Discover a series of global land cover products at 10 m resolution. The WorldCover global land cover maps and global mosaics are based on Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 satellite data, and are now available in the Terrascope viewer.

EOplaza releases new subscription packages

As of August 8, 2023 Terrascope's EOplaza will offer all available data and services via credits. Discover more about the basic set of credits available and new subscription packages to order more credits and scale up executions.  

New air quality data available

Terrascope releases two new air quality products, namely methane (CH4) and formaldehyde (HCHO). These Sentinel-5P products expand our offer of air quality products. Discover everything you need to know about the four available air quality products which we provide in collaboration with the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB) and the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI).

Release PROBA-V collection 2

Discover the improved PROBA-V data, namely Collection 2 (C2). These valuable datasets have been reprocessed to improve the data quality and use.

New default Python interpreter

The Terrascope Virtual Machines and Jupyter Notebooks will switch from Python 3.5 to the new default Python interpreter 3.6.8. 

TerraCatalogue supports an experimental STAC API

Next to the OpenSearch service, the TerraCatalogue now also supports an experimental STAC API. Read more about this new STAC API.
