UNABLE TO ACCESS THE DISK FILES ON PC

Hi everyone. I am currently trying to get some files on my personal computer, however when I transferred these files from my private to the disk on the VM, it still reads as empty on shared folder on my personal computer. I further checked the VM status on Terrascope and it reads as operation pending. What am I supposed to do to solve this issue.

Hi midowu, we always encourage people to work in the Terrascope environment as the data is already available over there but if you need to download the data you better do this via our python client or terrascope viewer.

Kind regards,

Jens

Hi Jens,

I was still able to do this in November and this downloads appeared on my computer after I processed it in the VM. I am not sure why I can't use that service anymore, has my VM been deactivated or what explains why the connection is broken. I was able to download turbidity data across the Schelde from 2015 till present and was able to do that using shape files from my computer to make the connection work. The main issue now is that I can't seem to get this downloads from the private into the disk folder where I have the sharing folder mounted on my computer. I further checked my VM status and it says pending. What can the problem be. Kind regards, Mariam.

Hi Mariam,

At the moment there is an issue with the status dashboard of the VMs so you cannot use it, sorry. We are working on it. I just checked your status manually but everything seems to be fine with your VM. Also the private volume status is healthy.

As you have done it before I assume you have configured it right but I want to share a link to the docs once more to be sure: https://docs.terrascope.be/Developers/VirtualEnvironments/VirtualMachines.html#vm-file-sharing. There is also an alternative way of copying data by using SFTP: https://terrascope.be/en/faq#faq-id-108/

If it still does not work for you I can contact you by email/chat to look more into detail.

Kind regards,

Jens
