Timeout Connecting uservm.terrascope.be

Hey everybody, Last week I received the following e-mail message: ***** Service Monitoring on icinga.intern.vgt.vito.be ***** disks on dargains is UNKNOWN! Info:    Remote Icinga instance 'dargains.uservm.rscloud.vito.be' is not connected to 'icinga.intern.vgt.vito.be' When:    2021-03-24 22:01:42 +0100 Service: disks Host:    dargains.uservm.rscloud.vito.be Groups:   uservms, uservm_prd IPv4:    192.168.116.203 Comment by icinga-admin:   The root disk on your PROBA-V MEP/Terrascope is almost full. Please use the $HOME/Private and $HOME/Public folders to store your data. If the root disk is full, you won't be able to login anymore. I didn't have the opportunity to access the server to check the problem because, unfortunately, my desktop motherboard died. Now, using a new desktop, I tried to access Terrascope with X2GO and I receive a timeout message. Could you, please, check this problem? Regards, Alex

Dear Alex, we are experiencing a brute force attack. If you seen this last message, it means there were too many failed login requests originating from your user VM. We are blocking the attack at the host level, and now looking for a better solution. The icinga messages were due to a crash of icinga, not due to problems with the user VM.

Dear Alex, you should be able to login to your user VM again. Thank you for your patience.

Hey folks, I cannot connect my VM. I am receiving a timeout message on X2GO client. Here is a message received on my e-mail in July, 2021: ***** Service Monitoring on icinga.intern.vgt.vito.be ***** disks on dargains is UNKNOWN! Hi Alex, We are currently experiencing problems with out OpenStack environment, and have called in Suse for support. As it stands, this is the situation: We cannot reboot your VM We have problems creating new VMs (so we cannot provide you with a new one) You should be able to access all the data in the Private and Public folders via e.g WinSCP Our Jupyter Notebooks environment is available, so potentially you can do your processing there. We are sorry for this inconvenience, and we are trying to resolve it as soon as possible.
