Problems downloading sentinel 2 images

For several days (May 2025) I have been experiencing problems when trying to download images from Sentinel 2. When I click on the download button I get the message “Something went wrong while fetching products”. Is it a known issue?

Hi Fsande, I was able to reproduce this error and will look into it!

We have found the issue and have logged a ticket to get it fixed asap. Only the downloads via the viewer are impacted. I will notify you as soon as it is fixed!

Hi Fsande,

Last friday a fix was implemented and the download should work again!

Kind regards, Simon

Hello,

I’m having the same issue described in this thread when downloading WorldCover v2 2021 data. I receive the same error message, and the download does not start, although the tiles are visible in the viewer.

Is there any alternative way to download the WorldCover 2021 data?

Thank you.

Hi cseni95,

We checked the download functionality in the Terrascope viewer, but we are unable to reproduce the issue you are experiencing. Could you please try again?

As an alternative way to download data, you can take a look at the STAC API and its ecosystem of tooling. We provide an example to work with these libraries in our documentation: https://docs.terrascope.be/Developers/WebServices/TerraCatalogue/ProductDownload.html#stac-tools

Hello,

Thank you for checking. Unfortunately, I am still receiving the same error message.

I zoom in to the specific area from which I would like to download the data, start the download, and it progresses to about 11%, then an error message appears in the bottom right corner of the viewer.

From our logs and metrics, we don't see issues for download transfers.

To narrow down the problem, we would like some more details. What specific area or products are you trying to download?
