Will the Copernicus Biophysical Parameters High Resolution Vegetation Phenology and Productivity products be available on Terrascope VMs? I am particularly interested in the HR-VPP Seasonal Trajectories and could not find it in the available datasets.

Using SSH key authentication for Virtual Machines

Timeout Connecting uservm.terrascope.be

Last week I received the following e-mail message:

I didn't have the opportunity to access the server to check the problem because, unfortunately, my desktop motherboard died. Now, using a new desktop, I tried to access Terrascope with X2GO and I receive a timeout message.

Could you, please, check this problem?

Running Dask

Hello, I'm trying to run a Python/Dask application (with a skein driver) on the cluster using Dask-Yarn, but every time I try to deploy it, I can't get past the initial phase where it crashes indefinitely on the constructor. From the logs I can see that the scheduler and workers are created without throwing exceptions (so it's not a problem with deploying the Conda environment) and it's classified as RUNNING, and I've called kinit before submitting anything, but I never get a monitoring URL (which I should have with skein), and it stops doing anything. Has anyone tried using Dask on the cluster? Are you aware of any configuration issues when using it, like on using specific ports?

Authentication Failed or Closed Network Connection Troubles

Hi Terrascope colleagues, 

Did anyone have trouble to access Virtual Machine environment via Putty and/or X2GO?

When I try to access via:

1. Putty

I receive the following pop up message: PuTTY Fatal Error / Remote side unexpectedly closed network connection

2. X2Go

I receive the following pop up message: Authentication failed / Socket error: disconnected

I would appreciate if someone can help to solve this issue.

Encoding error when opening PROBA-V from MTDA/TIFFDERIVED/

I am struggling with an issue that pops up from time to time when reading in PROBA-V Geotiff data.

This gives following error message: "UnicodeDecodeError: 'utf-8' codec can't decode byte 0xf3 in position 2: invalid continuation byte"

Is there something wrong with this data? How can I solve this? My script runs fine over many files and then suddenly this pops up. Google/stackoverflow/... has not been super helpful.

Can i upload my existing Sentinel 1 data, process and extract my result?

Dose it run on window OS

uploading data using filetransfer.terrascope.be fails

I try to upload data to my VM using filezilla (filetransfer.terrascope.be). Somehow I was able to access the folders once and after I tried to start uploading data to my private folder it stopped working. Now I can't even connect with the SFTP. Any ideas what is happening?
