Error in vegetation indices resolved
We hereby inform you that we found an error in the vegetation indices that are provided via the Terrascope platform (NDVI, FAPAR, FCOVER and LAI) for the products within the period 25/01/2022 – 10/05/2022. The error relates to an incorrect interpretation of the data provided by ESA since the deployment of a new processing baseline on 25 January 2022. The TOC reflectance products are not affected.
The error has been rectified in the NRT processing and data since 11/05/2022 are correct. A reprocessing is ongoing for the data that covers Belgium and Luxembourg and parts of The Netherlands, Germany and France close to Belgium. This data will be available from Sunday 15 May 2022. All other Sentinel-2 vegetation products that were produced between 25 January and 10 May 2022 will be removed and reprocessed in backwards order. This may take more than two weeks.
