The OpenSearch catalogue is being deprecated in favour of the STAC API: the service will be phased out in January 2026.
Also related services that use the OpenSearch catalogue as a source will be discontinued. 

To increase security and help users to access sensitive information on their userVMs, in JupyterLab and in their Hadoop jobs, we are changing and aligning the permissions on the Public and Private folders.

On 7 October at 09:00 CET, a new version of the Terrascope JupyterLab environment will be released.

This announcement is primarily relevant for users running custom UDFs using openEO.

Service disruption resolved

The Climate Detectives programme of ESA and ESERO Belgium has launched a new series of six videos to support students in exploring the impact of climate change on agriculture. In these videos, remote sensing expert Dr. Stephanie Delalieux explains how Earth Observation and remote sensing can help us better understand and protect both climate and agriculture.
